Engineer, Risk-Based Inspection

JOB PURPOSE:

  • Implement RBI assessment programs and liaise with the concerned engineers accordingly to properly identify deterioration mechanisms, corrosion circuits and participate in proper investigation/inspection policies, plans and actions.
  • Support and assist Senior Specialist Risk Based Inspection in all RBI activities

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Job Specific Accountabilities

  • Implement the inspection program based on RBI analysis by focusing inspection resources on critical equipment.
  • Establish the corrosion loop for LNG Plant process and utility based on excellent knowledge of related degradation mechanisms.
  • Maintain all related data within the RBI software accurate, and up-to-date in accordance with ADNOC LNG document management system.
  • Liaise with Senior Engineer Risk Based Inspection, Senior Engineer Inspection, Senior Engineer Corrosion & Metallurgy, Engineer Inspection and Inspectors (Painting & Insulation) on failure and damage of equipment and piping and update the RBI database accordingly.
  • Collect RBI data and results, perform analysis and review for evaluation as required
  • Assist in gathering and analyzing corrosion, material and process data to ensure optimum protection risk is achieved on all assets.
  • Assist in determining Plant equipment & piping criticality on the basis of RBI analysis and in formulating strategy for reducing downtime.
  • Support RBI plant teams during and after the project phase.
  • Plan in co-ordination with Senior Engineer/Engineer Inspection, the inspection intervals to assure the integrity and continuous reliable operation of the plants.
  • Inspect and monitor all welding jobs in progress (fabrication, assembly and erection) at the workshop and site during maintenance repair or modification work of process piping, process equipment and welded structure utilized in the LNG Plant and fabrication workshop of contractor. Ensure good workmanship and quality of every completed weld. Carry out further inspections after repair work to ensure conformity to applicable standards and codes. Review radiographs from previous work.
  • Maintain, control and update all welding procedures specification (WPS) and welding procedure qualification records (PQR) in accordance to the latest Company standards / international relevant codes, standards and recommended practice.
  • Carry out periodic audit of ADNOC LNG approved fabrication contractor and in-house fabrication workshop, i.e. examine the method of welding consumable control, examine the fit-up work in the shop, monitors how the slag removed from weld deposits, examine how is welding in progress is protected from contamination, examine if heat treating facilities are regularly calibrated, check if WPS is available to the welders who are performing the work, etc. Identify any potential problem areas. Perform the assessment of welding inspection personnel after witnessing their performance during the visit.
  • Maintain adequate records and list (spreadsheet format) of all current and valid WPS’s, PQR’s and Welding Performance Record (WPQ’s). Updates or re-qualify all these documents as and when required, if there are changes in the essential variables of the welding procedure. Modify, revise and re-qualify WPS found not suitable in service based on feedback from inspection and corrosion monitoring reports.
  • Demonstrate appropriate levels of knowledge and responsibility regarding Technical and Operational Integrity processes of AIRMS.

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor Degree in in Mechanical Engineering / Metallurgical or Material Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

  1. Minimum Experience
  • 6 years of experience, in RBI methodology (i.e. SGSI, DNV), Welding engineering and inspection function in the oil refining, LNG/LPG plant or petrochemical industry, including experience in controlling records of RBI, welding operation and inspection of static equipment, process piping and plant structures.
  1. Knowledge & Skills
  • Familiar with the materials, fabrication and inspection of static equipment and piping
  • Able to understand and interpret the relevant International Codes, Standard and Practices.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and any other relevant application software.
  • Very good knowledge of written and spoken English.

Professional Certifications

  • Qualification of basic NDT techniques (UT, RT, MT and PT)
  • Valid certificate in welding inspection from International Technical organization will be an added advantage

JOB PURPOSE:

To support Manager in developing the department strategic plans and in monitoring the division performance through regular reports. Conduct techno economics, commercial analysis and feasibility studies on possible business development, cost volume profit scenarios and enable the department   to support the division in taking the necessary commercial decisions.

  • On continuous basis gather business intelligence on the sales, marketing strategies related to all products and evaluate the effectiveness, performance of the current strategies, programs and suggest any changes to the manager for revenue maximisation.
  • Conduct studies to analyse the customer preferences over a period of time to determine the potential sales of the product and the demand of the customers
  • Gather data on consumer, competitor patterns and submit the trends, patterns to the manager for the necessary decision making.
  • Utilise the latest research and data gathering methods to get the complex statistical data  and then analyse and synthesize into  simple graphs and charts for better understanding and decision making on LNG development plans.

Minimum Qualification 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Engineering with preferably a postgraduate degree in Business Management.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

  • 8 years of experience, including at least 6 years in oil/gas industry related to marketing/ research activities in sales, production management and business development.

Professional Certifications

  • Related certifications to Market research & planning would be an advantage but not mandatory.

Team Leader, Electrical Maintenance(ASR)

JOB PURPOSE:

Plans, directs, coordinates and supervise the activities of the Electrical Maintenance Section to support the department & plant in ensuring optimum availability and reliability of plant equipment to meet production targets by maintaining high level of integrity and HSE standards at optimum cost.

Ensure reliability and integrity on all maintenance related activities in terms of Electrical processes.

Job Specific Accountabilities

  • Plans, directs and supervises Electrical Engineers and Supervisors of Electrical team in maintaining LNG and ASR facility to meet all target key objectives with a focus on improved reliability, availability and performance.
  • Responsible for obtaining the objective of Company Maintenance Policy and MMS compliance.
  • Provides the necessary support and guidance to ensure the safety of personnel and equipment.  Conducts and directs regular audits including risk assessments and safety reviews.
  • Carries out proactive review of all Electrical equipment and assets in the LNG and ASR plant with focus on poor performers and recommends Strategies leading to continuous improvement and longevity.
  • Provides technical input to modifications, minor projects and technical studies.
  • Plans and integrates priorities for planned maintenance and ensure preparation of resource (manpower/equipment/tools/spares) for overhaul.
  • Lead the implementation of training and development programs within the Maintenance Department with focus on enhancing capabilities of UAE nationals.
  • Directs and supervises ‘Electrical Team Contractors and Vendors’ for the provision of specialist services.  This includes the development of Technical Work Scope and Contracts (Electrical Engineer to be responsible for his area’s major activities and TL will direct and supervise).
  • Liaise between all stakeholders to progress work to meet the deadlines.
  • Organize available resources for optimum utilization; periodically review the adequacy of the support function to provide required service.
  • Ensure that all company codes/regulations/engineering practices are adhered to by Department employees.
  • Use SAP to direct and supervisor Engineers in monitoring spares and maintenance performance and use the information to develop improvements. Benchmark Electrical maintenance performance identifying areas for improvement and providing solutions.
  • Control all SAP transactions including and not limited (invoices/PFD/enquires/PRs/SO/etc. related to his department).
