Fire Technician

Location: Yanbu, Saudi Arabia

PURPOSE OF WORK:
Operate/maintain fire fighting equipment in a state of readiness and promptly respond to all fire/safety emergencies during the shift as instructed by Fire Shift Leader.

REGULAR ASSIGNED DUTIES:
Respond to all emergencies (Fire, rescue, and Hazmat).
Drive fire trucks (Hazmat & Foam tanker).
Operate all fire equipment to contain/control and extinguish fires.
Operate all rescue equipment to rescue victims during emergencies.
Operate all Hazmat equipment to contain & control during Hazardous material incidents.
Conduct quarterly inspection for a fire extinguisher, fire hydrant, fixed fire monitor, and fire hose reel.
Conduct the annual inspection for fire hydrant, fire monitor, fire extinguisher, fire hose reel, foam standby system, foam subsurface injection system, foam bladder system, water spray system, foam catenary system.
Conduct annual testing of smoke & heat detectors, call points, and Fire alarm system.
Operate all ladder platforms.
Perform continuous on the job training on fire apparatus /equipment/tools

EDUCATION: High school certificate or Diploma/ Associate degree

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years of experience in firefighting at Oil/Gas or Petrochemical industries

Operator B – Trainee

Location: Yanbu, Saudi Arabia

PURPOSE OF WORK:

To provide first-line physical operation of the assigned Process Units. Ensure safe and efficient operation of the related equipment and facilities. Assist the Senior Operator/Shift Leader function in meeting daily operating plans and standards.

REGULAR ASSIGNED DUTIES:

  • Physically check and operate any equipment or facility in the Process Unit area as directed by the Shift Leader or at own discretion.
  • Perform any of the physical tasks as per structure round and objectives related to control process and safety.
  • Be directly responsible for maintaining good housekeeping in all assigned Process area.
  • Be responsible for collecting data , writing and signing structure round logs.
  • Analyze operation problems and laboratory test results and then seek permission from Shift Leader for corrective action.
  • Be responsible to prepare day to day equipment’s for maintenance following up on maintenance work completion.
  • Perform safe and efficient shut down and start-up of assigned units in accordance with standard procedures when necessary.
  • Consult with and advise the Shift Leader or Senior Operator on hourly operations, plans, anticipated actions, control testing, maintenance requirements, chemical and utilities matters pertaining to his assigned sub-area operations.
  • Follow up and attend to personnel development and operating training as required. Assist in training of new comers..
  • Participate in safety and fire fighting programs and assist the industrial fire crew in times of fire emergencies or when directed by Shift Leader.
  • Suggest any producer’s improvements and up dates. Recommend changes and revisions applicable to the assigned units to the Senior Operator/Shift Leader.
  • Perform minor day-to-day maintenance if certified and housekeeping duties.
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned.
  • Carry out BBSO (Behavior Based Safety Observation , near misses and OCVM as required)
  • Complete JITs in timely manner for next position.

Education:

Associate degree in Process Operation and Chemical Analysis Technology, Manufacture Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Instrumentation, and Control Technology, Electrical Power Technology, or Mechatronics Technology.

Experiences:

Fresh graduate with no more than 2 years of experience in related fields
