Security Manager

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Leads the strategic development of security risk management.
  • Design general plans and schedule Security Team activities to ensure efficient operation within the budget.
  • Ensures adequate resourcing of required equipment and staff for scheduled security activities.
  • Supervises, develops, monitors, and evaluates the work of Security Team members to ensure required services are compliant with internal policies and guidelines.
  • Ensures all emergency/crisis management assets are coordinated.

  • Develop gap analysis programs regarding Security in all facilities
  • Develop Risk assessment for new sites
  • ROP requirement: Top Management meetings, (clearance approvals)

  • Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures safety manuals and training materials to ensure that employees are knowledgeable about the policies while l security personnel are trained in these policies.
  • Control budgets for security operations and monitor expenses
  • Attend meetings with other managers to determine operational needs
  • Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events
  • Coordinate staff and resources when responding to emergencies and alarms
  • Review reports on incidents and breaches
  • Investigate and resolve routine and exceptional Security issues
  • Create reports for management on the security status
  • Evaluate new projects for functional continuous improvement (e.g. implementation of new technology)
  • Coordinate Safety and Security activities to ensure all security personal is trained in how to respond in emergency and crises.
  • Direct assessments associated with Physical, Security, and Safety Risks to minimize or eliminate safety and security mishaps by assessing risks and developing programs and plans to address these issues.
  • Review work habits tendencies and the environments and make sure that methods and materials are complying with federal, state, and local safety standards.
  • Protect the company from theft, vandalism or other crimes.
  • Oversees security contractors’ services who work through security firms in order to prevent crimes of any kind and ensure the protection of employees and property.
  • Carries out the department strategy as implemented by the Department Manager.
  • Provides input into the assigned budget for the department and advises on red flag budget overspend.
  • Provides input into forecast budget preparations under the guidance of the Department Manager.
  • Develops the Security Reports as required by Management.

Education requirements

Minimum Qualifications for this position is a University Degree or similar

Language requirements

Excellent knowledge of written, read, and spoken English (required)

  • Total Experience 10 years in Security. The minimum number of years of relevant experience is 6 years in a similar role.
